Dear Parents,

       I want to let you know about our next scheduled field trip on Thursday, November 2 so you can put it on your calendar. We will be walking to the Performing Arts Center to see Junior Theater’s “Journey to Oz”. We’ll leave the school at about 9:15 and return at about 11:30. This should be a fun show.

       3^rd graders, Julia and Sage, have started a school-wide fundraiser for hurricane victims. All on their own, they created posters and researched where the money should go (The Red Cross). So far, they have raised over $50. If you would like to donate, please send it in by Friday, October 6. Thanks.

       The students are settling in nicely to the work cycle and have been working on setting goals and fine-tuning on how they can be more productive. This week we have been working on lines, rays, segments, and 3-dimensional shapes in geometry, writing, spelling, math facts and operations, adjective and article work in grammar, alphabetizing, reading activities, phonics, penmanship, spelling and more.
