This time of year students and adults often get the grumps or “cabin fever”. We have had several class discussions on talking and treating everyone with respect and in a pleasant tone. The students have been creating their own quotes about happiness to create a bulletin board. We have been practicing giving compliments to each other and have seen the mood change almost immediately. Finn’s grandmother shared a wonderful idea with the class about challenging us to do as many acts of kindness as possible. I have sent home copies of the “Acts of Kindness Checklist” in today’s folder and I encourage your child and family to participate weekly. Please return this form by next Friday. We will be discussing any changes in behavior we notice in others and ourselves. Thank you Mrs. Horning for this wonderful idea.
