Dear Parents, The students have impressed me with their concentration and peaceful work environment. This week we have been working on perimeter and probability, writing creation stories and friendly letters, spelling, math facts and operations, noun work in grammar, antonyms, reading activities, phonics, penmanship, a bullying lesson and more. Our first field trip of the year will be on Wednesday, October 3! We will be walking to the Apple Store in the 5th Avenue Mall to make our creation stories come to life. We will record our stories as a podcast and make an i-movie as well. This should be a great trip. I have sent permission slips in today’s folder. Please make sure you fill out both sides. Our school is holding an emergency food drive. The Food Bank is very low on food and needs our help. If you are able to send in food, there are families that would appreciate it. There will be a table at the entrance to the school to drop off your donations. Thank you. Picture Day has been postponed until next Wednesday, September 26. We are scheduled for 10:33, but it could be earlier. I expect a lot of great smiles with all this extra practice.
